August 30, 2015
The CATS project (Implementation of Community Approaches to Total Sanitation and Hygiene Promotion) held a kick-off meeting to start its new eight-month component, ‘Accelerating towards Ending Child Marriage (AECM)’ on 16 August 2015.
The new component aims to achieve two results:
‘Adolescent girls and wider community members are sensitized and aware of the negative effects of child marriage and agree to the continuation of girls' education’.
‘Selected schools are supported with WASH facilities with access by all, particularly girl students’.
The results will be accomplished through different project activities under three outputs. The meeting was held in UNICEF Bangladesh where all partner organizations of GoB-UNICEF CATS project were present there. On behalf of CARE Bangladesh, Anowarul Haq and ANM Kaiser Zillany attended the program.
