CARE Bangladesh contributes to isolation centers in Cox's Bazar

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, CARE Bangladesh has been providing assistance to District Administration, Office of the Civil Surgeon along with UN Agencies and INGOs to manage isolation centers across Cox’s Bazaar.

In this purpose, Hotel Sea Princess has been turned into an isolation center of 200 beds. Amongst different agencies, CARE Bangladesh contributed 50 electric kettles, 1 month’s supply of medication and 2 water purification units to supply safe drinking water for the patients and staff members. The center was virtually inaugurated by Mr. Helal Uddin Ahmed, Senior Secretary of Local Government Division of Ministry of Public Administration on 19, June, 2020. The inaugural ceremony was virtually attended by Members of Parliament of Cox’s Bazaar constituencies, government officials, local political and civil society leaders, dignitaries and NGO representatives. Legislators and government officials applauded and extended their appreciation and gratitude towards CARE Bangladesh’s contributions.
