The Multisectoral Alliance for Improved Nutrition (MAIN) Project proudly participated in the Micronutrient Forum 7th Global Conference, where the LDS-funded Micronutrient Nutrition Promotion Project (MNPP) was selected for an e-poster presentation.

On the sidelines of the conference, the MAIN Project team, together with Honey Cross, a representative of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS), met with Dr. S. M. Ziauddin Hyder, Honorable Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Health, to discuss progress and opportunities for strengthening national advocacy and scaling up Multiple Micronutrient Supplements (MMS) and Micronutrient Powder (MNP) services across Bangladesh.

During the conference, Mohammad Hafijul Islam, Team Leader of the MAIN Project and Co-Chair of the CSA for SUN in Bangladesh, engaged with global nutrition leaders, including Barbara Rehbinder of the SUN Civil Society Network (SUN CSN) and representatives from Vitamin Angels. These exchanges fostered collaboration, knowledge sharing, and strategic partnerships aimed at improving maternal and child nutrition outcomes in Bangladesh.

The event also provided an opportunity for representatives of participating Bangladeshi organizations to pay a courtesy call on Dr. S. M. Ziauddin Hyder, reaffirming a shared commitment to advancing nutrition and health for all.
