With support from United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA's) Bangladesh Humanitarian Fund (BHF), CARE Bangladesh is developing 16 shelters for vulnerable families in Rohingya Camp 15, Cox’s Bazar, prioritizing safety, privacy, dignity, and safeguarding.
This emerging hilltop community is helping families rebuild their lives in a safer environment while fostering community harmony and mutual support. So far, four families comprising 17 people have moved into their new homes.
"My house was damaged and suddenly collapsed. Now, this new shelter helps keep my family safer from extreme weather and insecurity," shared Sarah Khatun, a mother of five.
