CARE Bangladesh has launched their second phase of cash distribution initiative for the flood affected people in Kurigram and Sirajganj

As the part of CARE Bangladesh’s ongoing flood response, yesterday 29 August we completed another round of cash distribution for the flood affected people of Sirajganj district with support from START Bangladesh Fund and UK Aid.

A total of 425 households received Taka 4000 (50 USD) each as one-time multi-purpose/unconditional cash support. The distribution took place in Baghutia Union under Chauhali Upazila of Sirajganj district. The Chauhali Union Chairman Mr. Abdullah Al Mamun formally launched the distribution where Union Parishad Members, CARE Bangladesh and its partner NDP’s representatives were present.
