Every shelter strengthened is a step toward safety, dignity, and resilience.
With support from OCHA, CARE Bangladesh recently completed the distribution of Shelter Upgrading Materials (SUM) across Rohingya Camps 13, 15, and 16, contributing to the project's goal of reaching 3,000 vulnerable households with essential shelter materials, including bamboo, tarpaulins, ropes, and locks.
Alongside the materials, households received technical orientation and shelter repair guidance to help them strengthen and maintain their homes safely.
A special thanks to our dedicated team, including many female staff members, and our incredible Cash for Work (CfW) participants, who supported older persons, persons with disabilities, and women by helping transport heavy materials.
Together, we are promoting inclusion, dignity, and safer living conditions for communities in need.
