Founded in 1945, CARE is a leading humanitarian organization fighting global poverty with special focus on working with girls and women. CARE currently works in over 100 countries. In today’s Bangladesh, CARE started its journey in 1949 and our current programs are focused on Women and Youth Empowerment, Health and Nutrition, Humanitarian and Climate Action, and Food and Agricultural Systems. The goal for the new Country Program Strategy is to ensure that 15 million people in Bangladesh, especially women and girls, are leading gender equal and resilient lives by 2030.
USAID-funded SHOUHARDO III programme, implemented by CARE Bangladesh, joined with Regional Integrated Multi-Hazard Early Warning System and co-organised this workshop to share experiences from a recently phased-out project.
